Deense en Nederlandse stadsarchitecten ontmoeten elkaar in Arnhem – Architectuur Lokaal

Sinds 2009 organiseert Architectuur Lokaal in samenwerking met het Atelier Rijksbouwmeester kennisuitwisselingsbijeenkomsten voor Nederlandse stadsarchitecten en stadsbouwmeesters. Dit keer ontmoeten de Nederlandse stadsarchitecten hun Deense collega’s.

Tussen Nederland en Denemarken zijn  overeenkomsten in architectuurklimaat, maar er zijn grote verschillen in rol en mandaat van de stadsarchitecten. Interessant raakvlak is het thema prijsvragen en aanbestedingsprocedures. Hoe worden die in de verschillende steden/landen georganiseerd en welke rol heeft de stadsbouwmeester daarbij? Het gezelschap is te gast bij de gemeente Arnhem. Gastvrouw is Margreet van Gastel, wethouder o.a. Recreatie, Ruimtelijke Ordening, Milieu en Openbare Ruimte. De bijeenkomst staat onder leiding van rijksbouwmeester Frits van Dongen.

Since 2009 Architectuur Lokaal organizes in collaboration with the The Government Buildings Agency (Atelier Rijksbouwmeester) a two annual meeting for city architects. This year Danish and Dutch city architects are guest of the municipality of Arnhem. Hostess is Margreet van Gastel, alderman Recreation, Spatial Planning, Environment and Public Space. The meeting is led by Frits van Dongen chief government architect.

This day is also a sequel to the meeting between (city architect of Copenhagen) and Max van Aerschot (city architect of Haarlem) in June who discovered that there is much to discuss between Dutch and Danish city architects. On the one hand because of similarities in architecture climate, on the other hand because of major differences in role and assignments of the city architects. How do Dutch and Danish city architects work and what can they learn from each other?
